Re: This weeks Mesa Project 670 hp
We've been running the Jesels in our Poker run engines since they came out we haven't had any negative experience from them they hold up like everything they build. The port designs we're buying heads with their ports we modify them from there to get the velocity and volumes we're looking for and then send them back and have them digitize the port for our next job . This is expensive and time consuming but it's paying off with good numbers. That's what it's going to take to stay ahead in this game.

Re: This weeks Mesa Project 670 hp
After some bugs that needed worked out with this engine and our boat, we thought we were finally ready to post how really happy we were with this motor. Not as fast as everyone had predicted - 70.4 GPS in our Baja 272. BUT, exactly one month to the day after Laz's warranty ran out, we had a lifter fail which wiped out the cam. Not sure yet what other damage there is. Only 29.1 hours on the motor.

HP on the dyno was 624hp/607ft.lbs. at 5400 rpm's. We were running a 24p Bravo. The lifters are Cam Motion.

Re: This weeks Mesa Project 670 hp
Have you tryed a 3 blade 25 or 27 mirage with your stock drive height my baja ran better with the 3 blade. you should be getting 73 to 74 out of it. with over 600hp

I lost a lifter in the middle of the summer as well...but I was blessed enough that it didn't do any damage to the cam or any further damage than just the lifters themselves. Otherwise it could have been much worse! I was using the high grade Comp Cams lifters, but replaced them with the Morel lifters. |
Re: This weeks Mesa Project 670 hp
