drive ratio question/yanmar diesel tuning
 

We have Yanmar 315 diesel engines and Xr drives with 1.5 ratio after blowingthe upper gearson 2 drives in one season we are now considering Bmax diesel drives, but they only come in 1.3 ratio

how much would i need to change the prop pitch if i go to 1.3 ratio and would this be possible ?

we today run 28" bravo one prop and and 3900 rpm

Does anyone know if its possible to tune up the 315 yanmars and get some more horsepower and how this is done.
Have been talking with a diesel mecanic and he say that it maybe poosible to adjust the diesel pump ang gain some more horsepower.

You need a 24" pitch prop. check it out
