18 degree Dart Heads.
Anyone running them yet? I am very interested in seeing how they work on 600" NA motors. Is anyone offering a CNC port for these yet?

Re: 18 degree Dart Heads.
If you are going to change pistons, shaft rockers, and intake, why not go to the Big Chief ?

Re: 18 degree Dart Heads.
Craig,
The raw castings have port sizes about the size of a quarter and then are fully CNC ported (both the 330/383) with Dart's proprietary program. Bob |

Why mess with the 18 degree stuff....step it up to the major leagues! :D What you need is a set of Sonnys Hemi heads for Chevy's: your choice 2.45-2.70" intake valves, 1.88-2.00" exhaust, flow 570 on the intake and 390 on exhaust @.900" lift. Your choice 65-95cc chambers. Can be all yours for 14,400 a set race ready  Go with the 95cc, 110 Octane, put a real cam in your motor, and turn 8500 for a cool 1300hp+. :D Then you can go after GPM with an NA motor! :p :p :D :D Before you get any ideas you'll need 5" bore spacing..... |
Re: 18 degree Dart Heads.
Wonder how they would work on a Procharged 682.

Re: 18 degree Dart Heads.
I'm thinking a 6 drive in a F-29, should be able to handle 2500hp.

Re: 18 degree Dart Heads.
I ran the 14 deg Sonny Leonard CNC Big Chiefs three yrs in a pleasure boat. If you got the inches and run the rpm they work. But....they are tough on valve train! Valves are almost a foot long and the lifters seemed to have a short life. I was getting almost 100 hrs on them. Finally said to heck with it, pulled the pistons and heads, went to Canfields with blowers and life has been good :D
