I could not agree more. Total junk system for offshore conditions. May be great for a Sea Ray cruiser @ 30 MPH?

What you don't like the stringer drive, the single most over engineered part in history. Who thought it was such a great idea to have the angine and drive trim as a unit (the reason for the boot) the front engine mounts are hydrualic cylinders and the rear is mounted on a pivot. The spur gears destroy themselves instantly should you start the engine with the drive not tilted all the way down and if you just hold the tilt switch instead of slowly bumping it down the tilt clutch shaft will snap. Oh and let's not forget the part about haveing to take the entire upper apart to swap an impeller, about a 5 hour job.

Add the Standard Horizon CP175 and FF520 to the list.

The design and documentation is total POS. I should have stopped when the instruction manual said "cut off plug".

It is NOT posssible to install these products in accodance with the "instructions" and any resulting linstallation is unrelaible and unsafe.

I'll bet my boat tha the "engineers" who came up with this POS didn't attempt to read the manual or install the thing. Neither did the CEO or VP of engineering of Standard Horizon.

I didn't hesitate to purchase because of excellent experiences with other SH products.

This one obviously got the Katrina treatment in design process.

I've sent me feeling to company--we'll see how they respond. No answer is a good on--since I pi$$ed away the enitre weekend trying to get the f'g things installed.
