need mufflers who can give me some help
 

Looking for help guys
I need a set of mufflers for my cat
Power is a supercharged intercooled Boyd engine, 822 HP on superflow Dyno, right now straight through exhaust.
RPM at top speed 5900 . Wet exhaust. Input please.

Hey catcando77 I see you have a boyd engine , is that Jack Boyd ? Boyd Motorworks ? If so , are his engines as good as he say's what has been your experience with him .

I am impressed with the ggb extreme clampons. I'm running stainless marine hi-tq 3's with 5 inch tail pipes/wet exhaust on a 540 blower motor running 10 psi boost. Motor made roughly 950 hp/950 ft lbs tq on dyno,ran boat all summer w/mufflers on,went to hardy party at pond 2 weeks ago and un-corked it,saw no rpm gain at all,just alot of noise.Without the mufflers boat stunbled and spit a little off idle,put mufflers back on by end of sunday and it immediately went away. They are necked down to 4 1/2 inch outlets,I figured I'd see a couple hundred rpm gain with open exhaust but made no difference,they work excellent,Smitty
Fred at trick and Lofty have great prices on them,I bought mine from Lofty,he was blowing them out at the time for 40$ less shipped to my door.
P.S my motor generally pulls to 5900 also.
