Crack in lexan....

I have a small 1 inch crack in my lexan windscreen, how can i stop it from spreading?

drill a small hole at the end of the crack,,, it will relieve the stress and stop it from spreading.

And try to figure out what is causing the stress that led to the crack, and eliminate it.
