Fuel for the 600sc Merc.........
 

What fuel does Merc say to run in the 600's? The 525's run best on 87.

I would use 6 month old 87 octane so you can have a reason to put new motors in LOL!
Maybe the lighter Ilmors!

I think he means the 525EFI's.

525SC's need 92 octane, although several have said they have run them on lower.

I have the 600 sci in my Superboat, onwers manual states 91, as most marina's have 87 or 93 , you could do a 50/50 mix, I use the 93.

I Use 93 Octane In Mine. If You Put Anything Less Than 91 Octane The Race View Goes Nuts And Puts You In Guardian Mode. The Beeping Is Very Annoying !!!

91 octane for sure. Obvioulsy they are detuned motors and everyone knows with their combo you could easily make 700+hp. I believe the Illmors have to run on 92 octane also.
