Ok guys as you can see from the pic I couldn't wait this is a .030 454 with the small blower basically a 525 we finished dynoing it yesterday afternoon and I came in Saturday to take some pics of it for you gear heads the customer wants to pick it up Monday afternoon and I still have to rig it. I know you guys have seen all types of 525sc but this one is sporting a different pair of heads with a new cam profile we've been working on and it made 657 hp yesterday on 89 oct unleaded thats one heck of an accomplishment for 5 lbs of boost with this small blower and no intercooler it never set the det sensor one time throughout the 12 pulls we made and on the last pull when the customer showed up to see it run I made one timing change of 2 degrees were it went to the 657 hp needless to say Roger the owner is tickled with the performance and even more the savings in fuel dollars when he pulls up to the pump. Sincerely Laz Mesa
P.S. wait till you guys see the FI big block Camaro were finishing this week 615ci and 839Hp the nicest piece you can imagine for a street car .

it is the small blower he had it polished because the entire engine comp is done in diamond plate and we used the pro topline heads with some combustion chamber work and port work done very mildly these heads were the best I've ever seen come out of the box . Believe it or not it took 34 degrees of timing and never set either of the two det sensors off one time . BTW that was 8.9:1 comp and lots of carb and timing work to get it there. Sincerely Laz

Stock size pulleys or did you have them cut? We had my pulleys cut to get 6lbs with a little under 8.5comp and dart iron eagle..running 33deg advance. The original pulleys from my 177's only gave my 4lbs boost. What octane fuel do u dyno with?

Regards

Rob I like your new bug catcher logo. I tried 35 and 36 degrees and yes it made more power with no det but if I have to warranty it for the customer I don't want to give it to him on the edge because most of the time when the mechanic installs it in the boat you know everything is not the same as in the dyno room and you know the mechanic is going to be nowhere to be found when it eats itself up anyway it didn't make that much more 5 hp only and the exhaust temps were around 80d hotter. Sincerely Laz

Yea its better to be safe 5-20 hp is not worth detonating to death. You never know about the guy how he runs his or her stuff . What kills me as the people that don't have a clue about motors are the ones that puke them and wonder why it came apart  then blame you :( The last one I built for a guy I didn't charge him. because he runs it 5000rpm 61mph 100% of the time .He has to to keep up :evilb: The funny thing it want come apart 235 hours so far:D There's no way I would warranty one$$.But I am not in the biz either.

Laz what RPM do you start your dyno pulls?

rob :D
