cam and intake selection

Lost one engine a few months ago and have finally found 2 330 horse takeouts with 300 hrs on them. Engines are completly stock. Boat is a 90 baja 30 ft. Read several of the threads on building the 330 but still undecided on just what combo to use. Need to get parts on order asap.
This is what I have so far: rebuilt rectangular port heads with guide plates, harland sharp 1.7 roller rockers, Gil magnum exhaust, water pump cross overs, fluid dampner, one peice push rods, block bored 30 over, hyperetic 9.5:1 pistons [block bore and pistons selection can still be changed within a few days], all ARP fasteners. studs on 2 bolt main.
Want to run the quadrajets because they are new.Could not find a good highrise to work with rect port heads and be of spreadbore design.
any help would be appreciated. Katrina survivor, Tylertown Miss.

Just found out that I indeed have 4 bolt mains. Maybe things are starting to look my way.

Get with RMBuilder on this website. Bob is the man when it comes to camshafts and valve train components. Not only does he know what he is doing but you will not find anyone more conscientious or honest.

I melted the top off a one of those "special" cast pistons in a built 406, after the rebuild of the blown engine, used Forged instead, no problems, timing set exactly the same. IMO those pistons are crap. Motor still running (some else's now) 7 years now.

rmbuilder would be an excellent choice.

team Tickfaw,

Those dual plane hi-rise intakes that Payton has is a great price, and would be ideal for the rectangle heads you're using. Also, I agree with the others about "rmbuilder"/Bob...experience, knowledge, intergrity. He engineered my head & cam combination for my 565cid engines and I am very pleased with the results especially in light of what I wanted to do with them.
