oil flow direction ?

so should the oil got from block to cooler to filter to block OR block filter cooler block ?

Re: oil flow direction ?

1/ Some say block-filter-cooler-block.

2/ I prefer block-cooler-filter-block. This is because building a cooler involves a lot of soldering and I am always afarid there will be some solder balls that will get loose after time and get into motor.

I beleive OEM is method #1

Re: oil flow direction ?

I have exactly the same philosophy as Wobble. Especially true with used/reused coolers and lines.

lets try this
out of the block
into the cooler
into the filter assy
back to the block

Re: oil flow direction ?

Hmmm, warmer oil flows easier through filters, Ill stick with the tried and true Merc method of block, filter, cooler.
