Fountain windshield
 

I'm looking at a 42' Fountain Signature Series with triples and I am very interested. The only problem is that it doesn't have a windshield. It's just solid fiberglass molded like the deck it's a part of. I've seen others with the smoked glass/plexiglass windshield. Is there some kind of advantage to the solid windshield. What are the pro's and cons. I like the boat alot but I don't know what to think about the solid windshield. It also has pads running along the top edge of it.

I had an older Fountain and had problems with the Plexiglass wind shield getting spider cracks, replaced it twice and the same thing happened. What year boat are you looking at?

It's a '93, actually it's the one advertised in this websites' classifieds. There are two and it's the one with out the radar arc. Check it out

pros: don't craze( spider cracks), stronger
Cons: can't see thru it
