Building a Ford...oh my!

I am in the process of building a 351W for a little 16 foot Starcraft boat with a stringer OMC. Don't ask!

I haven't assembled a 351W marine engine since I worked as a dealer mechanic for Valley Marine 15 years ago.

The parts gathering is going fine except that I would like an original marine cast iron timing chain cover (they came with the Ford marine engines years ago). I believe the Ford part number is C9JE 6019A.

Can anyone help me?

I bought one a few years back from Simi Valley auto wrecking in simi Valley California, they sell new parts too and for some reason or another they stock a phuck ton of timing covers. I've bought atleast a dozen from them over the years in both aluminum and steal.

Re: Been around but taking it easy...

I've been into a few different projects but mostly just kicking back and taken it easy! Hope to retire early/soon from this mad and crazy working life! Just sit on my porch and think about nothing.

If you want to go a little bigger, I've got a source for 427 FE parts. That should move that 16' boat.

Dennis,
You may try AT Francis at Blue Thunder Auto. AT is pretty well connected with the Ford boys and should be able to get a line on one for you.
