Need help with a Sea- Fire Halon system
I needed to remove my bottle and when I unstrapped it it felt empty. I can't figure out how to get the electrical connection off of the tip of the bottle to get it filled. Do you unscrew it at the fitting?

If you can find a place to refill post it. I have always been told you have to replace the bottle :(

Re: Need help with a Sea- Fire Halon system
It's D.O.T. regulations and UL that won't let anyone refill the units. The only thing you can do is buy a new one.
I have been in the extinguisher business almost 20 years. Thanks Mark |
Re: Need help with a Sea- Fire Halon system
Thanks and I was told the electrical connector needs to be disconected from the bottle somewhere down line, Not at the bottle like you would think. Mine was never disscharged but is empty. Sea Fire told me it probably leaked out over time. Never heard of this. Anyway I am pursueing exchaging the bottle.
For those in the business, doeshis need to be done thru Sea Fire or any extingusher shop??????? |

No you will have to send it back to the factory. A regular extinguisher house can not do it leagally.
