Who makes the best performance per dollar, Add On, Hydraulic Single Ram system that is upgradeable (second ram, hydraulic helm)?
IMCO, Hardin/Mayfair, Zeiger/Everett, Marine Machine, other?

WPM makes a very good system that is upgradeable and at the time I did it was the most inexpensive.

We have single ram systems for $995.00. The system is complete with stainless steel end cap, ram assemblies, hoses and fittings. This system can be upgraded at any time with the additional ram or full hydraulic.

I had a WPM single ram on a 226 Baja. It was nice, worked for what it needed to do. About $1000.

I had IMCO single on my 26' Sonic, and I really liked the system.

I had the WPM system on my 25 Outlaw. It worked out very well on our boat.

I had the WPM system on my 98 Baja h2x and it worked fine,,the only thing I questioned was the use of the stock p/s pump..

I have a add on system from IMCO (duel ram) I got off E-bay. Easy to install. Works good, but need to drill out the PSI valve in the pump. Anyone know what size to open up to?

You've got my attention... I was wondering what the speed limits are for a single ram set-up and is it upgradeable to twin rams later on? I've got a 29 scarab in desparate need of hydraulic steering. Any info would be great.

I know my IMCO is upgradable. I started out looking for a single but got a very good price for a new duel ram system. I was going to only set it up as a single but went with the cool factor of the duel. It is way overkill for my 25’ 70mph boat but hey…. I am not sure where to draw the line on the single vs duel ram thing ….as for safety. Hopefully some one here can chime in here

What ever happened to the XS steeirng systems? Still being made?
