what is the ideal water temp for a hi po n/a engine?
was wondering what water temps you guys with larger hi po n/a engines are running for water temp, thx ratman

mine 120 degrees, no condensation on breathers

I like to keep them at least 140 but no more the 170 on sea water cooled motor the closer to 170 the better

Mine runs 165-170* with 240* avg oil temp.

I've always run the coolest that allows the oil to get up to temp.

I run our N/A engines that are 9.5:1 - 10.0 compression @ 140 degree. I would recommend running Hardin Marine oil Thermostats as well with a the proper size oil cooler. Running the water temp past 160 you will lose actually lose horsepower.
