Were the bent ones intake or exhaust?

Re: Bent Pushrod, what caused it?
Ed,
They were both exhaust valve pushrods. |
Re: Bent Pushrod, what caused it?
Was there any rust in the exhaust ports? Everytime I've had stuff like this happen it was water coming back after the engine is shut-off from a leaking riser gasket and the valve stem rusted.

Re: Bent Pushrod, what caused it?
YUP ! motor may have gotten hot , slightly had reversion, or gasket/manifold/riser failure. I've seen this on several motors. Usually freed up and worked fine with new pushrods. This happens to boats that sit along time too. BBB
