Last year when I was shopping for a 496HO these guys had the best prices I saw.

I didn't want any long distance problems so I bought from my local Merc dealer. His price was only a few hundred more and was much more convienent. I would try your local guy first, if all he is doing is receiving the motor for you to picK up he might do it for slightly above cost.

Jeez - i will sale you my raylar built 496 HO (600hp cam) for 11k. You will need to pay to have it removed from the boat and shipping though.
