454 MPI MAG upgrades
Ok, want 550 Hp and factory looks out of my 454 Mag Mpi's. They are the 385 hp models. No superchargers (I think)
Who has the proven combination? |

550 out of your 454 isn't going to happen without a supercharger. Sorry.

800xcr is correct go with a procharger and not alot of boost(psi) due to crank also you didnt say how many hour are on the mtr.

I agree with that. I dont understand how blower manufacturers can advertise their systems as a "Bolt On" . As Tyler said, at least change the head gaskets and valves. |

Why is 550 not going to happen? The crank & rods will handle it. The heads need a little work & a piston change to get 10:1 with the right cam should get there. I don't think I am out of line with what I want. Am I???
Tyler's kit nets 485 and that is just a cam swap & head work. 65 more HP doesn't seem out of reach. |
