Shorter drives and Water pressure
At what point when installing IMCO -2 shorty would one start to worry about the H2o pressure ? Is it a speed thing or what? I currently have a low water pick up Bravo I and have no problems with this as of yet but if I install a shorty am I asking for water pressure problems and if so what is the cleanest simplest way to deal with it? Regulate it or dump it over .....need some help.
please advise. Bryan |

Use a pressure relief valve and dump the excess.

My presure went up 10 psi with a imco 2" shorty. My stock drive was also a low water pickup

Re: Shorter drives and Water pressure
Mine is from Teague, and feeds off the sea strainer. It's also adjustable from 15-30psi. You could just T it in line if you’re not straining. KPM racing also has some slick ones. Trick Marine can help with those.
