S/B chevy heads??
I am looking for a little more power in my 260,I don't want to spend alot right now,I plan on a new boat in a year or two so I don't want to sink alot into this one,I am looking to get around 330-350 hp and 350-400 ft lbs of torque out of my small block what is the best head for the money? I know I can get vortecs but what about the old school fuelie heads? or any others that make good power?? I am a ford guy so I don't know the secrets to a chevy.I would appreciate the help.Thanks......

Re: S/B chevy heads??
you want a flat top piston engine, so look for some thing with a 72 cc chamber so you compressions does got to high then you can stay away from a dish piston. i use to run the 882 casting # sbc oem heads with a 202 int and screw in studs on a 383 short block and it made great power and an azz load of tq, doug herbert has sbc roller cam, lifters, etc for great prices.
