imco powerflow plus
if im running 960hp procharged 555c.i. will an imco powerflow plus be large enough? are the pipes 4.5or5inch?
2 1/8inch ports? how does it compare to the stainless marine generation 3 5inch? thanks |

I am not a big fan of Imcos exhaust manifolds. I dont like the fact that they have water flowing from the manifolds to risers through a gasket. I like the by-pass system better. Like Gils.. Like CMI headers even better. Just my opinion .....

CMI if you want to step up to true tubular headers. I agree with the CMI's, tubular headers are for real hp, manifolds are more for mid range hp upgrades. CMI's are the cats a$$ but if you can't swing them Lightning's are a really good alternative. we will prob go stainless marine 5inch....we got quote from cmi for headers large enough and by the time we would have got them installed etc, it would have cost near 30grand. and from what we heard from multiple engine builders...the stainless marine gen 3 5inch is as good performing for supercharged applications liek ours as a cmi header except it doesnt have the cool "looks". we have cmis now, but one header is unrepairable and are too small...we just dont have the kinda coin for new cmis for a 16year old boat weve already invested waaay too much into :drink: thanks everyone for the replies

I have a set of IMCO powerflow plus, new never used black lower and polished elbows,I will let go cheap. they are big and the water goes thru a hose not the flange.
