26' To 30' Single
Hi,everyone! I'm new to the board. the OSO format looks awesome. i'm looking for a 26 to 30 single BB. i would prefer a new one, but if prices are too high, used may be necessary. i saw the Superboat Y2K, looks sleek, & is priced right. anyone have any other recommendations on boat brands?? THANKS, PG

Re: 26' To 30' Single
Check out Cobra Boats -Viper 29X. I am really impressed with the quality, fit , finish, ride and speed of this boat with single engine power. A pretty revolutionary boat with a decent price and great looks. I think Hot Boat Magazine did an article on one about six moths ago. This boat is rumored to be a candidate for 2005 boat of the year? Just my two cents.

PG I know you were at the SB site, we spoke. By all means there are a group of builders who meet your needs, some big names and some smaller builders, for the most part all good/great builders !!! But I can speak from experience and onwership. You can't go wrong with a SUPERBOAT Y2K !!!!!

Re: 26' To 30' Single
You are going to get a ton of reccomendations,, but the biggest questions are, where do you boat, how important is a cabin, how fast do you want to go, 7' or 8' beam ?? how much do you want to spend ??

Re: 26' To 30' Single
I don' know if I will ever own a single again because of where I boat, but if I did there is one boat that stands out year after year. Powerboat Mag. thinks this is the best single engine boat produced and that is the 26' or 28' Howard Bullet. This boat seems to be built for speed and does it effortlessly.
Just my 2 cents........ |

I own a 27 Avanti but i drool over the Y2K's.

Re: 26' To 30' Single
This would be my choice if I was going new. Priced right and a lot of boat for the $$$$

Re: 26' To 30' Single
THANK YOU ALL, FOR ALL THE REPLIES!!!!! To answer a few questions, I live in NY/NJ area & as I said, I would prefer a "new" boat, & would like to build it with a local manufacturer. I'm in the $75,000 market. What I have seen in the threads, I think I can pull it off!! Once again, thank you all for your reponses. PG
