Fountain Triple 525SC's

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Fount...spagenameZWDVW

Is it me or do these engines not look right. Every tripple 525SC fountain I've seen has the black looking engines with the Mercruiser logo and "525SC 92 Octane" stamped on top of the air cleaners. Are these engines original or is this a particular model Mercruiser made, just curious about the red engines and no Mercruiser stamped anywhere.

Re: Fountain Triple 525SC's

Looks like someone took stock Mercruiser motors and made them into 525's. Mercury didn't use stock stainless exhaust with 174 superchargers on there stuff. They used Gil/Mercury exhaust with a B&M Mega charger for there packages. Plus they used cast finned valve covers, not some stamp steel chrome valve covers from Pepboys! :(

I sure wouldn't say they were Mercruiser 525's! :drink:

Just my .02.

I bet they're 502-415hp Magnums. No 525's came with those exhaust manifolds. They've been out of the boat. Make sure you find out who did the work and when.

Re: Fountain Triple 525SC's

They are not original 525SC's.

Wrong exhaust and wrong blowers.
