Removing old hardened white marine caulk??
I removed the frame with sliding doors from the gunwale of my cockpit and there is a bead of old hardened cauld still attached to the cockpit fiberglass. Don't really want to scrape it off with fear of scratching the gelcoat.
Anyone have any ideas on what I might use to get this stuff off. It's on there hard as a rock!!! Thanks!!!! |
Re: Removing old hardened white marine caulk??
probably 5200
3M makes a 5200 remover. Are you not going to put the doors back on ??? |
Re: Removing old hardened white marine caulk??
I'm putting the doors back on. Sending the boat out to have some dings and scratches repaired and there is one that runs right up to the frame and the frame itself is in need of fix'n. Not sure if I have to get a new frame or I can get the plexiglass welded.
Where can I find the 5200 remover?? Thanks for the reply! |
