Rex Marine slip in silencers
Has anyone tried them?
|
Re: Rex Marine slip in silencers
I ran them on a stock 502 and a 1000hp blown 509. they work as advertised 7- 10 dbl on a radio shack meter. To the ear they knock it down to a tolerable level.

P.S. with about a 200 rpm on the 502 and no loss on the blower motor

Re: Rex Marine slip in silencers
I have a set I tried them on a 454 with headers and they tone the sound done a little. my wife didn't notice the exhaust was more quiet, but all my friends said you could not hear me coming. I took them back out I like the noise also I had no change in performance.

Re: Rex Marine slip in silencers
No prob. They are just sitting here collecting dust. Just thought if you could use them. I don’t think they could be pulled from the tubes to easy even though they are just welded in.
PS. ever get up here to northern IL on the Chain o lakes? Mike |
Re: Rex Marine slip in silencers
Haven't been up to the chain yet.I saw some info at the boat show, and hope to make it up this summer.
