mounting oil coolers

bought teague coolers looks like they need to be mounted to the stringers, is it ok to drill 4 small holes in them and the silicone the holes before bolting. this looks like the strongest way to me these things are heavy.

Put some pics up when you have it mounted. The first oil cooler I bought from teague was the one with the power steering cooler built in and I had to return it because it was so long, and I had no place to mount it. I ended up getting the one with separate power steering cooler.

And use 4200. No silicone on a boat, only in boobs.

Better way is to drill oversize holes, then fill with epoxy. After it sets redrill the correct hole size and then through bolt. that way water will not get into the stringer.
