ECM removal - 496 mag

Is it just the three bolts and three plugs to remove ECM on the January 2003 496mag?

Also, is the mapping code that 38-character string typed on the white stick-on?

(Having Merc re-map to eliminate that horrible transom soot that's been happening since brand new. :mad: )

Yes, just the three bolts and connectors. See attachment for code info.

Merc sent me a new one instead of re-mapping, A 4 yearold could put it back on. I did. It helped alot. JC
