pros&cons of intercoolers
 
I want to install the 125hp superchiller intercooler kit on my 575sc i want to know the pros and cons of this any input would help out alot thanks guys

Pro's Maybe 125hp gain(weather ect)
Con's $2500.00-$3000.00

Self,
Running the Whipple intercooler on a 575. Advantages are you can run a much smaller pulley (4" stock/I'm using a 3" for 7PSI boost intercooled) on your blower. You'll need to get your ECU reprogrammed too.
Lots more HP, much better performance in hot weather.
Downside, not much. Just realize you'll need 4" of addition vertical clearance with the superchiller (I used the whipple, it's 1 5/8"), you'll have to run some additional plumbing, and I do recommend a sea strainer for the intercooler. If you crank up the boost, I would also change head gaskets to FelPros or Cometics. The factory gaskets aren't much.
