GM Cam specs??? 1.8 Rockers????
 

Anyone know cam specs for GM cam # 4364???
I can't find the info anywhere.

ALSO Why use the 1.8 Roller Rockers ?????
What are the advantages and disadvantages?
I have a set on my stock heads.
Can they be used on a set of Edelbrock alum heads?

More lift than 1.7 ratio rockers.

some engine builders run 1.7 on int and 1.8 on exhaust on stk bbc heads to help the exhaust flow better. or viec versa to help the intake

3904362 Mechanical Flat Tappet
This mechanical flat tappet is an LS-6 street mechanical lifter cam. (Use spring P/N 3970627.) The duration at lash point in degrees (intake/exhaust) is 307/298; duration at .050" tappet lift (intake/exhaust) is 242/242; and maximum lift with 1.7:1 rocker ratio (intake/exhaust) is 496/492. Valve lash is .024/.028 and lobe centerline is 114 degrees.

When you change rocker arm ratio you change more then the lift, on a marine engine with wet exhaust you can induce reversion. You can get some excellent info by Googling "Cam shaft theory" and "Rocker arm theory" It is a good idea to take the time to get the right technical info to get the power you want and most of all to protect you engine.
Also you may want to consider getting the lift from the cam, though slight high lift rockers take more power to actuate the lower the rocker arm ratio the less valve train stress and wear.
