CNC work on Dart Pro One heads

What type of hp increase might I expect to see when I have my head work completed? This is not inexpensive work and was wondering if it is worth the cost? They are 310 runners. This application is on an approximate 700 hp NA application w/ 1050 Holley Dominator. Thanks.

Re: CNC work on Dart Pro One heads

My understanding is head flow=horsepower (if your heads in stock form are holding you back).Looking on the stan weiss head data site I see they have a I/E of 70-72% and flow 347/249 at .600 lift so I can tell you they don't have as much room for improvement as stock heads or merlins. How big are your motors? If they are 502's or smaller unless your going to spin them way up and put huge cams in them you won't see alot of gain. Now if they are bigger than yes,it might be worth it. If your heads are holding back your power (lets say its a 572) and you gain 10% more flow with a balanced I/E than it almost translates to a 10% power gain,at least from what I know,Smitty
