29 scarab i think if you went to a electric fuel pump you have to have a regulator some where. If its the one that came with the holley pump throw it in the trash they are junk get a good mallory regulator and on the bottom of that they are plumbed for a return line. Come out of that and go to your tank.

nocigarette,

The one problem with your idea is that even though it should even out between the two tanks it will affect your fuel pressure. When the tanks are low (little to no back pressure against the return) the pressure will be lower than it would when the tanks are full of fuel.

should that matter with a regulator, and if it does can ya tell me what to due different, because i cant see of any other way of doing it. like i said earlier i am no pro but it just seems logical.

Re: the best electric fuel pump

I'd check with the guys at Mallory, but on most return style regulators the outlet pressure will change when you change the return restriction.

Re: the best electric fuel pump

i dont believe that variance would be enough to affect the pressure. The whole purpose of the return regulator is to save the pump lifespan anyway. If the motor doesnt demand the fuel it goes back to the tank....Your the head of tech tell me how two tank systems are plumbed with returns. I dont want to make a mistake im going to regret.........
