Re: Iron Eagles on a 305 Tuned Port???
ooops. your engine is an '87. GM changed the intake bolts on that engine. You will have to modify the intake or the heads to run either head with your engine.

I had an 89. I honestly dont think you can do much with the 305 to improve it.
Just change the seals. My $0.02 Gary |
Re: Iron Eagles on a 305 Tuned Port???
I had a Trans-Am back in those days with a 305. I swamped it out for a 350 and there was a major difference.

I have a ZZ4 that started to spin a rod bearing on about the 15th lap at Mosport. Ran one event prior at Shannonville.

Re: Iron Eagles on a 305 Tuned Port???
I put a set of Iron Eagles (ex TIDA stock car) on my 350 motor in my 82 Blazer along with an edlebrock air-gap intake and 750 double pumper. Good torque and power, cam was some generic RV type cam I had laying around.
Is yours the TPI or four barrel? Great link for F-body info http://www.f-body.org/tech/tech.htm#ThirdGen |
Re: Iron Eagles on a 305 Tuned Port???
BTW these heads raised my compression to just over 10-1, so super gas is needed.
