would this slow my boat down?
I was running a poker run last weekend. I put in 02 sensor bungs to check a/f ratio. one of them rattled loose and was blowing exhaust into my carb and the engine compartment.
dumb question but could i lose 3-4 mph from that? |
Re: would this slow my boat down?
I suppose it is possible. That condition would pump hot, corbon monoxide into the carb rather than O2. Gotta be worth some power..

sure you could loose a couple mph in oxygen deprived environment...

Re: would this slow my boat down?
I had a 02 plug unscrew itself out of my "bung hole" at hot boat weekend last year, boat immediately slowed down (about 5 mph) and was making a awful racket that sounded like broken valve train. So in my experience, yes,it would slow you down. Didn't it pop and make a awful racket that sounded like something broke? Smitty
