timing on hp 500
 
what is the total timing and at what rpm on 2000 hp 500 carbs motors. and is there anything you need to disconect.

it should be 34 degrees. Not sure what to dis-connect if anything.

34 at what rpm i assume 3000 and do i need to un hook any thing like a wire or somthing.

Buy a set of genuine Mercury shop manuals. It will be the best $60.00 you ever spent. Anyway, I had a T-Bolt V ignition on a boat and had to jumper out a couple of terminals, when setting the timing.
I am not sure of a T-Bolt IV.
