Like Mike said it would be pushing it on the stock 500efi.I believe the head gaskets are the week link.If ya get a bad batch of fuel.innercooler doesn't get enough water ,ECM program off just a little,not knowing with out dynoing it.etc
I guess it depends on how ya drive it,you probaly can get away with it. pushed a head gasket out to the water jacket in destin.Went back with cometic gaskets and left the whipple at 7 lbs.Picked up 6 mph. these whipple motors really make some power!!

Stock Gasket Blew On A 500 Efi Between 5 And 7 And Also Pushed Out Into The Water Jacket. No Other Damage. Can I Go To 8 Lbs Now?lol
