Can anyone do desk top dyno ?
 

I had my Regal velocity 23 in the water last week after . I´m spinning my 25 pitch mirage + 5200 RPM with bravo 1 1.5.
My speedo doesn't work so I don't know the speed.

Anyone have good guess or maby a desktop dyno to find out what HP/ torq i have?
Engine is:

-454 bored .030 over 9.5 CR Deck milled to near zero
-990 heads 2.19 1.88 118 cc mild porting
-Merlin single plane
-Holley 9022 800 cfm
-Crane Z-cam profile hydraulic roller #139011
-Crane gold roller rockers 1.7
-crank rods piston flywheel coubler rotating balanced
-Lightning headers thru transom

I'm going to take a shot here based on experience. I had the same boat a few years back. Your boat is light and a very efficient design on the bottom. Based on calculations I would say you are running approx 77-78MPH on GPS if you have a labbed prop.

Its not a´labbed prop so based on last year I was swinging a´23 mirage plus( With less HP) i calculated 10-12 % does that sound right?
I had the boat on weight just before testing and it was 4350 with full tank. 60 Gallon. Then add 190 to the driver. Testing weight 4540

if your tac is accurate and your slip is 10% then your speed is 73.86 mph.

your HP is probably not more than 465 in the 5200 rpm range, chev ZL-1 aluminum heads 12.5 :1 and maybe not quite the cam you have produced these numbers on dyno, the really high hp in the 550 to 710 ranges were in the 6000 to 7600 rpm ranges.

torque is also in the 450 - 475 ft # area

Crank or propshaft HP?

I was told that the Z-cam hyd roller profile 139011 that should be identical with the old #139731 would give me at least 550 ft @4500 RPM and 525 crank HP + at 5500 RPM Was that a dream?
The cam works in 2500-5500 RPM range so Du you think I will gain more HP if I rum 6000+ rpm?

Come on Guys, torq and HP is the only thing that counts, you know that! Am I really that low in power? :mad: Could someone try calculate on dyno desktop ?
