Leave it alone!!! It's hard enough to keep these things running and yours wont shut off...LUCKY MAN! :evilb:
LOL!!!! :drink:

Turn off the gas to the engine and see if it stays running.
If it does than I would like to buy one of those magic alternators.
LOL! That's along the same line as a perpetual motion machine. :D

This hasn't been my week, and it's only Tuesday.
If it isn't the boat needing work it's my truck. I've been having trouble keeping all 8 cylinders firing in my F-250. Last night I drove it home on 5-6 cylinders. This morning it was just as bad. Two weeks ago it did the same thing and I paid 580.00 to get it fixed. All they said it needed was plugs, fuel filter, and an injector flush. It was fine till now. I found a new set of 8 ignition coils on E-Bay for 119.00 w/shipping. Normally they run 65.00-80.00 each. If I can get them fast I'll swap them out on the weekend.

Let me guess...it was fine til it warmed up?Yeah,it's the coils...just did mine and it's very common on the 5.4 triton(assuming that's what you have).

Yep, seems fine till it's hot. Actually, it's usually better in the morning than in the evening.
Except for today. It was misfiring from the start. Had trouble getting it up to at least 60 mph on the FL. Turnpike.
And I do have the 5.4, with 134,000 miles.

Well, I had a feeling the coils were shot, but it also had the original plugs still in the engine. I took one look at how hard the plugs were to get at and decided to let someone else have at it. I just didn't think the labor would be so high. 226.00 in labor for the plugs alone.
