Dyno numbers

Got the engine on the dyno yesterday and did three pulls. The best i got was 3300 rpm 600 Clp-ft and 377 CHp
5200 rpm 494 Clp-ft and 500 CHp

The engine is a 502 bored out to 540 . need some input on the numbers before i do #2 engine. The engines will be going into a cigarette bullet.Trying to get the boat in the low to mid 70 range

Re: Dyno numbers

If your peak torque is 600lbs @3300rpm then I would say it is a bit on the low end. Is the intake manifold you're running a single plane or dual plane intake? and whose brand?

Also, do you happen to know what the cam specs are? (duration @ .050")

Any additional info you can give concerning the engine would be helpful.

Need parts to know. It sounds low. Here is a dyno sheet of a 540 inch with GM Iron rectangle port heads, and a merlin single plane with dominator carb.
