Trailering cat's on gunnel

I keep seeing more and more cat being hauled on there side. how much work is involved ? and is there any thing you have to do to the motors. Could the oil get into the combustion chamber along with gas spilling over and hydro lock the motor.??????

Gas vents need to be in a place where they will not leak (high side). Oil must be drained on a wet sump system. Almost all the cats on tilt trailers are dry sump oil systems. No need to drain oil, just have the oil tank vents in a spot that will not leak out.
