Re: Borg Warner C72 Operating Pressure ?
Interesting... I put temp sensors on mine because I fear over-temp condition. is it more important to watch pressure??

Re: Borg Warner C72 Operating Pressure ?
Pressure is more important...thats what Bam told me...

Re: Borg Warner C72 Operating Pressure ?
Use a 200 PSI gauge. Yes, pressure is more important. If you have enough cooler (we recommend 2x8 bundle) if they get hot they are already dead. Fluctuating pressure (#1 cause of failure) can indicate low fluid level before any damage is done.

anyone ???

Re: Borg Warner C72 Operating Pressure ?
That's low. We won't ship one that won't hold 80 PSI @500 rpm hot. Pull the regulator apart and see what color spring is in it. Should be black. There is a white spring that was used for a while in an effort to drop the pressure (therefore less power used to turn the pump) but experience has shown that you do need more preesure.

Re: Borg Warner C72 Operating Pressure ?
More headachs..Marc...reverse on both trans won't engauge after I run awhile....on a cold start they shift fine...but its tough trying to manouver around without reverse...linkage is set to forward and reverse detents...I have to shift into reverse then netural then back to reverse...sometime they engauge...sometime they don't..pressure still a issue ??..what should I read when in forward @2500 rpm...always @100 psi..now...I wish I would have sent them to you...any ideas about reverse ??...do you think the power valves are bad ??THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP.....Dave.. :( :drink:
