Re: Brazilian or Saginaw steering valve
Nice system!
Another good one is XS Performance Marine. http://www.xsperformancemarine.biz/ You might call Brian to see if he has an old one laying around. |

Re: Brazilian or Saginaw steering valve
If it is a '99 it should be the Brazil unit. The Saginaw's were used much earlier. --- Jer

Re: Brazilian or Saginaw steering valve
I found that I needed a saginaw valve. I have no idea why checkmate would have this on a 99 boat, considering that system was discountinued in 94! OH well. The install has been a pain, just like anything you do in a boat. I know a couple of guys who have the XS system, seems to be nice. I have heard the wait for parts or systems is weeks out. I can't wait that long, especially for the kind of coin that a steering system costs. And for those who say order it in the winter, nope to busy snowmobiling! :evilb:

Re: Brazilian or Saginaw steering valve
I have the valve you need in perfect condition. Used it on my boat with the hydraulic assist for one year before upgrading to full hydraulic.
