Paging Traviss

Traviss, I would like to talk to you about the installation and plumbing set up of the Stainless Marine exhaust on your boat. Please call 716-583-7833. I would like some real world opinions.
Thanks, Dave

Traviss,

How did you mount the interrupt and oil filter bracket?

Thanks

Re: Paging Traviss

If you look at the pic on the left side I have my oil filter mounted on the battery box. What I did with the interrupt was mounted it up up under the back of the transom, can't even see it. I did all this to clean up the motor looks. I didn't like the cheap brackets emi sent to mount these two things.

Thanks, it does look nice. I just pulled the old manifolds off mine, and thinking EMI or Revolution marine. I passed on a set of tubular headers, I don't want to worry about cracks.

Re: Paging Traviss

Do you like that exhaust? I am in the market for exhaust, and it looks as its going to be between the revolution marine, or the EMI's like yours. If I recall you run a large cam, I have a 228@ 050 112LSA (Crane 284H) with Rhoades lifters so I don't think reversion would be a problem for me with "your" exhaust.

Revolutons are cheaper, but I don't know about reversion. I am sick of milkshake. I now have a 5 gallon gas can full of it!

What is your boat? From the pic it looks very similar to a Four Winns Liberator.

i love the EMI's espessically with the longer stainless risers. I run a solid roller, 250/258 duration, 598/598 lift on a 112. Never have any problems with reversion, but I also idle around 850-900 rpm. Its not to bad I just have to start it in gear.

The boat is a 1989 powerplay (powerquest) 185XL. its about 18 1/2' long and around 2900 lbs. heavy boat and its nice cause It only is 7 1/2' wide.
