Hey John,
I cant help you with your problem. Dont know chit about stereos. BUT, I called your cell, got your voice mail. Give me a call. I wanted to see what you were doing this coming weekend. I went out on my first run of the year today. I am ready to go. Vinny |
Re: Radio Guru's.....
Most installers will seperate the Pos from the Ground to avoid radio interference. Check your wiring. Also, most guys will tell you to run your ground to the terminal of your battery to avoid other interference.

My old truck used to have the same problem and i installed a filter like Nighthawk showed. Worked like a charm.

Re: Radio Guru's.....
you can accomplish the same thing with a 3 dollar capacitor. ground the case, hook wire to positive feed to radio. Thats all a "noise filter" is but in a box.

Re: Radio Guru's.....
Most of the time all your accesories at the helm are run off the same ten pin harness that your motor runs off of. That means all your guages, pumps, lights etc are using the same ground. try running a seperate ground to the battery for anything that has to do with your stereo. You might as well run a positive while you are at it to be sure. That will work for noise, if you still have noise after running seperate power and ground then your problem is with the Sirius unit itself.
