Re: what's involved in removing a Procharger?
A couple last questions...Am I going to need any special tools to remove the unit? And my motor builder is not a pro in setting up the prochager, is there anything special that needs to be done?
also, can you guys recommend anyone in so cal to tune? thanks |
Re: what's involved in removing a Procharger?
I did it on a 454 Mag EFI. It took about 2 long days work to get it back in the water. Do you have all of the original Mercury parts and hardware to bring it back to stock? It'll be very time consuming if not expensive figuring what's needed and then getting it all.

The only thing I currently have is the stock throttle body and air cleaner....any idea where I can get a list of the rest of the parts? |
Re: what's involved in removing a Procharger?
Get a copy of the installation instructions from ProCharger and take note of everything that was removed or modified for your engine.
For MY set up it included water pump, oil filter bracket, tensioner pulley, cooling hoses that were cut, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, drive belts, fuel lines, oil lines, and a smaller prop. I suspect there's other items that I don't remember right now. No special tools are needed. |
