Elec. problems/nightmare

Took the boat up lake to the poker run.Wrong one the engines wanted to die and wouldn't let me run over 3300 rpms.I come off plane and shut it down, started right up and went on my way for about 2 minutes and it wanted to die again.i finally get to the docks and change the ignition module and run the boat for about 15 minutes and guess what, it shut the engine completlly down.Pissed off ,idle the boat to the dock and let it set for 2 days.Got a merc. p.c. and hooked it up and ran the piss out of it and recorded the 5 runs and it wouldn't spike or shut down or anything.HELP

The first thing I would check is for a loose or corroded battery terminal that feeds that motor. A loose connection will cause some very strange and normally unexplained issues. The 2nd thing I would check is for a loose connection at the wiring harness plug. just make sure it is tight and not corroded. After that, it could be a host of issues.

Yep, do all that and then change the trigger(sensor in the dist.) It will be a done deal. --- Jer

are you sure its electrical.maybe its fuel. ive seen crap stuck in the pick up tube cause similiar issues.especially if it has an anti siphon valve or a screen in it(the pick up). sometimes on the end, sometimes in the 90* fitting. either way check it out.
