Re: Need parts!

What is the name or order number? I'll see what we can do from this end. Sorry for the problem. You know it only happens when it's important. If it was January they would of course arrive on time, maybe even early.

Re: Need parts!

I bought the parts local for an extra hundred dollars and the parts showed up yesterday afternoon...now I'm out the extra 50, extra hundred, all the extra parts(400),broke a dinner promise for last night cause the boat had to be put back together, took thursday off to do the work, and so on and so on...the 50 extra bucks is BS if you committ...called and Dena said not your problem!Never again!!!

Re: Need parts!

You really cant blame Mbam some things are beyond the shippers control,

If you where On such a close time line you really shouldnt of take the shipping risk just to save a couple of dollars, if the parts weren't available locally then I could see mail order

I have heard nothing but great things about his company

Re: Need parts!

Joe, thanks for the support. Michael, we are very sorry for your problem, but we did our job 100 %. Order was placed 10:35PM 5/23, we processed it at 8:47 AM on the 24th, was shipped the same day. According to UPS the delay was caused by weather which is excluded from their guarantee. However, we do swing some weight with them are doing our best to get a refund on the shipping on your behalf.

I'm going to include the text from the page where you select your choice of shipping below-----------

The shipping options above refer to time in transit only . Weekends, holidays and the day of shipment do not count. We want you to have your parts, however the actual shipping date of your order is beyond our control and not guaranteed. PLEASE CLICK HERE to see order and shipping deadlines, commitments and an explanation of backorders. Our site does not show actual available inventory. The expected ship date of your order is updated on-line by 2:00 EST (weekdays only) the day your order is placed. Tracking numbers are added when your order is shipped. We have an enormous inventory, and a major Mercury warehouse delivers to us twice a day, so most orders placed by our 10:30 EST cutoff ship the same day or within 24 hours.
-----------

I am also going to include our version of the part of most on-line order systems where you agree to the terms of the order ------
----------------------------------------------------------------
By completing this order you agree to our terms and conditions and understand our shipping commitments and backorder choices.

I specifically understand and agree that my selection of 1, 2 or 3 day shipping does not guarantee the actual ship or arrival date of my parts. You also agree that you are solely responsible for the quantities and part numbers you have ordered. Yes, I understand and agree to the terms and conditions of this order.
----------------------------------------------

We work VERY hard to get you your parts, as a "seasoned" boater myself I understand the importance of this.

If you have any other questions or issues please call me directly at 954 545 8681.

Re: Need parts!

You certainly cannot blame Bam. I've had great service with them too. Once they leave the warehouse, it's out of Bam's hands. I ordered stuff from them one morning, and received it the next day, and I didn't ask for any special shipping.

As far as shippers, I agree that UPS sucks. I use UPS when it isn't critical, simply because they are more convenient for me, but I use FED-EX when it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight. :)

Now that's just plain unreasonable. Ripping on BAM because UPS didn't do their job.

Mark and his staff bust their hump to ship your parts out the same day. Do you imagine that alone might be tough the week before Memorial weekend? You don't receive them because UPS didn't make their commitment and you come on a public forum and blast BAM?

.......no good deed goes unpunished.....

OK DUMBF@CKS!!! I never ripped on bam if you read my posts thoroughly...I even stated I heard Marc is a great guy and that's why I ordered from him...I specifically said UPS could screw it up because they have on me in the past...I do think for 50 bucks bam should use FED-EX(since the overnight charge is only 15 with UPS)...go and have a nice weekend and I'm gonna do the same with my fiancee, the girl in the avatar :evilb:

you know a little manners goes along way carr "BOY"

you know its a good thing you are in NY because if you where on the MD eastern shore we are a real tight bunch here and talking like that youd have to go to NY just to find someone that would even touch your boat or sell you parts...thats just not called for

sorry but I wont be talked to like that........

I do this because I luv the sport and the industry and I may not always be right and Ill always listen to what someone has to say, but for him to say that to people that are just giving what I concider good advice is just plain wrong

if this isnt trying to blame someone that doesnt deserve it nothing is ....

end of story ...........

just say sorry to bam and all is well, sorry but its hard to find really good people in this industry and he happens to be one of them, he even offered to call ups and try to get your shipping charges back where most companys would of just said "thats between you and UPS"

Yeah,OK ,sorry bam...FOR WHAT??? I never said anything bad about bam,and even said,I hear Marc is a great guy!Are you that stupid???As far as most companies would of said"that's between you and UPS",that is what Dena said !!! When I overnight aired from Doller Offshore and it didn't come in time they refunded the shipping. As far as that goes, the seller, being the general contractor, hires UPS, a subcontractor, the general cont. is responsible...BOTTOM LINE!!!As far as Marc is being nice enough to try and get my shipping back for me...that's great and he should...but never offered to until I posted on this forum.I didn't post to bash or blame anyone(besides UPS who I think is worthless)...I posted to reply back to everyone who tried to help and explained...JUST MY LUCK!!!Listen,I realize everyone who has snapped back at me knows Marc and just can't wait to defend him or keep an argument going(or start one for that matter)...I already heard he's a nice guy and that's great...I'm sure I will order again from him...as far as when I said "never again" means never count on something like that again and I won't...as mentioned earlier someone said I should have bought the parts local instead of trying to save a few bucks, yes,I should have...but,I called and asked what the guarantee was on overnight air if I do this stupid ordering online procedure and was told"committ to anything before 9am...yes the order was processed in time and UPS f'd it up.ENOUGH SAID!!!
