Re: new motor disappointment
I get a good day with good water hopefully tomorrow i will get a run on it with the timing change and intake change I will post results

Re: new motor disappointment
You should set the timing at 3800 rpms where it's in full advance, and let the base timing fall where ever it wants. Of course you need the right timing gun to do that.

Re: new motor disappointment
Ok got the boat out today with the timing advanced and an air-gap rpm intake on it I now turn 5000rpm. the boat on the speedo says 70mph that is fully trimmed out. It feels very quick and fast. Picked up about 8-10mph for 4200.00. I think there is more in the motor needs a little time on it. Engine oil psi hot is 52 water temp is running 160-170. It nows blows my ship-shore ant down at speed. I am now going to try a high flow fuel filter. I post those numbers later also 3500rpm=52mph so that is a good cruise

Re: new motor disappointment
My bravo 1 is getting labbed so I ran my 23 mirage today top end 72mph on auto-meter speedo 5400rpm Boat is fast starting to get a little loose the faster I go but loose is fast The bravo 1 is much better suited for the boat it is an all around boat with it. But I already have a 27 fever with a 502 in my wake as well as a few liberators other nova's, sting-ray, baja's. When people see my #3 floor mats and 100mph speedo it really scares them
