What is the best Pre Lube system
My idea of the best system includes performance, sanitary installation and aesthetics.
The application is 5 stage dry sump with a HP 6 filter bracket mounted on the #1 cylinder corner of the head. |
Re: What is the best Pre Lube system
I use a Master Lube system. Works great, mounted cleanly a bracket I made on the rear of the block.

Re: What is the best Pre Lube system
Has anyone ever tested a pre-lube system to see how it saves the engine? It would seem that some of the companies would have done some side by side comparisons to demonstrate what their system can do vs. not having one. I have always considered one but have never seen the numbers to justify it.

Re: What is the best Pre Lube system
I use a Marine Pre-Luber. At one point they were sold by Jegs I believe. Kind of pricey but it works good to change the oil and bring oil psi before the motor is rolled over...
Here is a site that sort of addresses your question... http://www.pre-luber.com/VWarticle.htm Here is the site for the Pre-Luber itself.. http://www.pre-luber.com/ |
Re: What is the best Pre Lube system
Canton Racing Products manufactures a product called "ACCUSUMP".
It's an oil accumulator. Oil pressure fills the accumulator while the engine is running. Before shutdown you flip a switch closing a solenoid valve trapping the oil under pressure. Before starting, flip the switch and instant oil pressure. While running the accumulator will automatically provide oil in case there is a temporary drop or loss of pressure. I don't have one, but read posts from those that do. www.cantonracingproducts.com |
