I've always had superb service from George. He usually picks up the phone anytime you call. If my experience is any indicator whatever he is telling you is likely true. Did you speak with George or someone else??

Cant think of A time ted gave bad advice so I would try to get ahold of George as he stated...

just wondering why you would order a common kit like that by mail order when you can go to your local west marine and buy it off the shelf close to the same price after shipping ???

alot of times Ill buy from west marine (port supply) just because a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush ( two in the bush is fun ) (trust me)

Re: Boat Fix.com

WOW, are you sure were talking about boatfix.com??? You cant get around there voice mail and the only place to leave a v-mail is the general box. I have been jacking around with making up a passwors and user name then messing around e-mailing back and forth bla bla bla bla............ all this for 50 bucks worth of stuff. I have bought stuff from just about everyone in the marine business and there the worse!!!!

I've placed many orders with them, never a problem.

I've ordered a few things and their service was fine. In fact I just ordered a filter last night and got the UPS tracking info earlier today.

too me 2 weeks to get any type of communication what so ever. and to get that I needed to set up a user name and pass word WAY to much work to get a 50 dollar part, there not set up for any problems. I think you get super smooth or bad as hell,

These guys are unbeleivable!!! Still will not ship my stuff!!! Dont use them, very customer UNFIRENDLY system if you need to check status, cant to talk to a human, all I can find is this general voice mail. Very bush league operation, my advice is steer clear of these jokers!!!

If you guys have Georges phone number I would really like to get it.
Thanks

Re: Boat Fix.com

I have been ordering from them for about 2 years.
They have always delivered, BUT
1. Always slow delivery
2. Can never talk to a live body after waiting 4 weeks for a delivery

I only order from them now when I have plenty of time to wait.

They are usually the lowest price, I just count on a slow delivery.

I have used BoatFix.com with very bad results. Avoid at all costs.

Ted G 03-29-2007 07:57 PM

I online ordered a shift cable last Wednesday and had it on Friday afternoon. I did order some Lowrancenet stuff from them over the winter that got held up by a backordered part. After I figured out how to submit a ticket
http://www.boatfix.com/sticket/Custo...mitTicket.aspx
I got an answer back in 3 hours. Pretty good as far as I'm concerned.

BillR 03-30-2007 07:29 AM

I too have had good luck with them.
Decent shipping and decent customer service.

...and they have all of the Perko stuff that you could ever need for a Cig!!! :D :D I've used them alot and had nothing but great experiences. Their price on a Bravo impeller kit was 50% less than I could find it elsewhere.

CigDaze 03-30-2007 08:52 AM

I've ordered from boatfix at least a hundred times, and they've been nothing short of excellent on all of my orders. It's hard to beat their prices, too.

bob_t 03-30-2007 09:27 AM

Iv'e been ordering stuff from George for more than 5 years and never had anything less than excellent service. Even when UPS delivered my 303 with it dripping out of the damaged packaging (they left it on the doorstep, rang the doorbell and literally RAN back to the truck!), George had a replacement package express shipped to my house at no expense to me! Sorry to hear about your bad experience with them - not the norm for them, from my experience.

smokinbob 03-31-2007 04:03 PM

i have had very good experience with boatfix, highly recommend them.

tomas_wallin 04-02-2007 07:37 AM

I bought two Lowrance navigators from them last spring, ordered both to friend that stayed at a hotel in the US. Really fast shipping and great service - but they charged me for two and shipped only one... (back order from Lowrance)

Got the other one delivered to Sweden three weeks later, Boatfix payed the shipping.

The other orders from George has always been great!

Luuk 05-15-2007 12:25 PM

Can someone tell me how the F**K I can get in toutch with George or someone other living thing at Boatfix?
Telephone? Do he know how it works?! I have tried to call them several days in a row, and nobody I repeat nobody is willing to answer, and it would be alot easier if they had an email.

Ted G 05-15-2007 01:57 PM

Go here:

http://www.boatfix.com/sticket/Custo...mitTicket.aspx

and submit a ticket, works great.

Luuk 05-18-2007 12:28 PM

I have now seended a couple ticets the last days, and nobody have replyied on them, I halve also tried to call them several times on different times, and suprise, nobody have answered.

The funny thing is that my cables needs to go to Cali before 25th of may. So that my buddy can seend me the cables to Finland!

I thought I did a good deal when I ordered from Boatfix.com, but for now I know that they are smoked!
