Re: Help! Stuck Valve

HELP!

I can't seem to get a new Rocker Arm, Pushrod, Valve Retainers, Rocker nut, or ball from anyone! They all claim they can order the parts, but it will take WEEKS to get them in! Are they kidding?? I have called about every major auto parts place in my area as well as the marinas...no joy... I wanted to be on the water this weekend, but it doesn't look good.... :( :( Damn...I wish I saved some of the old parts I had from the top end rebuild two seasons ago. They would have been fine for this repair....

So...can the power of OSO help??

I have a 1987 Merc. 454 Alpha 330hp. I need the exhaust pushrod, rocker arm, ball, nut, and valve keepers. ASAP!

Thanks in advance!

-Larry

P.S. If anyone has any hot leads that will help me today, please PM me and I will give you my cell #.

A little more lead time and I could help you out. But I am land locked in Nebraska
I can't believe any machine shop dosent have a bucket of them laying around. I would think Nappa would carry pushrods.
Good luck.

Try to find a local machine shop that builds engines they should have a few dozen laying around.

I have a couple bags of SBC pushrods, etc. but don't think that will do you any good.

I found a local machine shop...and they don't even stock them!!! cRAZY..I know...I was shocked. I guess with the cost of business nowadays, people don't want to carry slow moving inventory...It's not everyday that you get a customer looking for valve train parts... :(

Thanks! :drink:

Try www.paceperformance.com

They are a Chevy dealership that does a lot of HP stuff. I've gotten stuff from them before and had it overnighted.

I have also gotten a some of the stuff you are looking for at NAPA.
